Raimon Panikkar (Barcelona, 1918–Tavertet, 2010) es uno de los representantes más destacados del pensamiento intercultural y el diálogo interreligioso. La Primera parte está dedicada a un estudio general sobre la Divinidad y a uno más particular sobre sus rostros. La Segunda parte reproduce en la Primera sección un comentario sobre la Trinidad cristiana, que ha visto numerosas reelaboraciones, ya que el argumento representa el fulcro de la visión cristiana del autor: el Dios vivo es el Dios trinitario, lo cual no es rígido monoteísmo ni politeísmo, como tampoco el cristianismo es su simple doctrina; en la Segunda sección se presenta al Hombre como ser trinitario en la visión antropológica, helénica y cósmica y su responsabilidad frente al cosmos. Como recapitulación de la problemática, en la Tercera parte se introduce una visión más amplia llamada Trinidad radical, es decir, la visión cosmoteándrica, descrita primero en su aspecto general y luego en su forma de espiritualidad.
